Our Engineering client have a permanent role for a Financial Controller based in Barton Under Needwood.

**Position Summary**:
Responsibility to lead the Business Financial Controlling and Management Reporting activities at all company locations. To deliver accurate and timely financial information and establish and maintain a robust control environment and a culture of continuousimprovement. As part of the site Management Team responsible for delivering on the financial commitments made and coordinating the financial business planning, control and budgeting process for the respective Operating Units.
Key Accountabilities/ responsibilities:

- Part of the Site Management team driving the day to day performance of the site.
- Deputise for the Operating Unit Finance Director
- Manage a team of professionals ensuring roles are fully documented and objectives are well defined for their staff
- Coordinate the Shared Service Team to ensure scopes are defined, delivered timely and accurately
- Develop systems to ensure the efficient and effective management of the Operating Units financial performance
- Responsible for delivering and presenting the monthly management accounts to the Operating Unit management Team
- Identifying and driving action plans to improve the financial performance and to mitigate any risks identified
- Coordinate the annual budget and monthly forecasts of the business
- Work with departmental managers to prepare cost centre budgets, forecasts and review actual performance to drive action plans to achieve targets
- Coordinate the financial strategic planning process for the Business
- Monitor and drive improvements in cash and working capital of the business
- Establish short interval control metrics (weekly) on sales and cash for the business to drive performance and actions to achieve targets
- Support the commercial business decision making process
- Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and the relevant statutory accounting standards (UK & US GAAP)
- Establish and Implement a control environment to underpin the accuracy of the UK financial reporting ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
- Establish and implement Finance KPI's to measure and drive key business performance
- Standardise, rationalise and document the Financial Processes to achieve synergies in the finance department
- Perform other duties within your capability, training or experience that may be reasonably requested
- Adhere at all times to the company's Health, Safety & Environmental instructions and requirements
- Be involved in the implementation and support of the company Worldwide Excellence Programme (WEP)
- Responsible for Handling and Storage of Data in line with Data Protection legislation
Qualifications/Education required:

- Qualified by experience - Essential
- Part Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) - Desirable
