Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people? Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Band 7 Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist to join our team and play a pivotal role in providing clinical Speech and Language assessments to children and young people on the Autism Diagnostic Pathway.
**Role Overview**:
As a Band 7 Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the diagnosis and support of children and young people on the Autism Diagnostic Pathway within our reputable NHS Foundation Trust. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting clinical Speech and Language assessments for children and young people
Utilizing your post-graduate qualification in Autism diagnosis to administer relevant diagnostic tests
Providing clinical judgment on diagnoses, collaborating closely with our community paediatrician colleagues
Conducting assessments in both clinic and school settings
Compiling comprehensive reports following assessments, facilitating informed decision-making by community paediatricians
Active participation in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to clinical decision-making

A post-graduate qualification in Autism diagnosis
Strong expertise in administering diagnostic tests and interpreting results
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities, especially when working with community paediatricians
Flexibility to work in both clinic and school environments
