Warehouse Supervisor

R H Claydon Ltd is one of the UK’s leading tyre wholesalers. We are looking to appoint a Warehouse Supervisor at our new Carlisle branch to assist the Branch Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast moving environment. Assist in the day to day management of people within the warehouse function, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures.

Main duties include:

- Assisting the Branch Manager in the day to day running of the branch.
- Overseeing and assisting with goods inwards, (mainly direct sea-land containers).
- Picking of products for delivery.
- Overseeing the loading of delivery vehicles to ensure accuracy.
- Distribution and route planning.

Required skills:

- Good organisational & man management skills as will be expected to take control of the day to day running of the branch in the branch managers absence.
- Reliable and flexible approach to work is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literate.
- Must hold a current UK driving licence.
- Forklift licence would be an advantage.

- Salary £24,650 - £26,000 pa
- Plus bonus potential of £1000 + pa
