Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operator for an internationally recognised Automotive Manufacturer based in the Washington Area.

Our client assembles and supply Exterior Trims world-wide to the Automotive Industry.

We are looking for a hardworking individual with the passion to grow and succeed with our client. This position is a temporary role, with a view to go permanent after a 12 week probationary period.

As the logistics operator, you will be using the latest equipment and systems, including ASRS (Auto storage and retrieval racking system) Mobysis and SAP. You will be required to meet the JIT/JIS deliveries, complete transfer orders and have a hands-on involvementin the day to day processing.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Creating transfer requests & fulfilling transfer orders
- Ensure that all SOPs are followed
- Line side & goods in loading/off loading
- Safely stacking containers
- Checking deliveries against advice notes
- Prioritise stock accuracy across & support with stock takes
- To pick and pack parts into internal/external specifications
- Scanning material via RF scanner
- Maintaining FIFO
- Carrying out general forklift actives - e.g sign off & upkeep of MHE
- Other duties commensurate to the role
- Understanding of Health and Safety requirements within manufacturing
- MHE licenses (Counterbalance and/or Tow Tractor)
- Understanding of KANBAN/JIT processes
- Ability to prioritise work load
- Able to work under pressure
- Experience of working within a logistics function (primarily within automotive)
- Experience of carrying out FIFO
- Computer literate
- Ability to communicate
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to complete documentation clearly & accurately
- Experience of working within an ASRS System
- SAP knowledge, preferably Mobysis

Shift Pattern:
06.30am-14.48pm

15.45pm-00.03am

**Salary**:
Day Shift - £10.00

Late Shift - £12.00

(Pay increase after 12 weeks of service)
