West View is a Care home in Bere Alston that is transitioning into a Butterfly Care Home. Butterfly is a specific care model that cares for people in a very person centered and non institutional way. It is about creating family based care where there is no 'us and them' and everyone lives their lives to the full. As a result this unique position has become available.

The Homemaker is an extremely important role within this care model. It is a cross between an activity person, a host (especially around mealtimes) and it does not consist of giving personal care. You will need to be imaginative, patient and have masses of empathy and you will really need to care. Great communications skills are also required.

The role will involve 8 hour shifts and alternate weekend working for which you will receive an hourly enhancement.
