**Ward Healthcare Assistant - Bank Hours**

If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a strong understanding of how a Ward operates? then we have just the role for you.

We are looking for a Day Ward Healthcare Assistant to join team in our Practice Plus Group Emersons Green Hospital, Bristol.

**About the Role**

You will be a Valued member of the Ward team, support the professional staff with the overall care for all patients in the department.

This role will have clinical and technical responsibilities along with some administrative duties such as
- Welcoming/greeting patients to the department explaining the layout
- Demonstrate to patient how they summon assistance and where fire exits are.
- Assist in preparing patient for Theatre informing Nurse in charge of any worries or issues.
- Ensure all patient investigation (tests) results are in patients file for surgery
- Ensure all patient own medication is locked in Medical drawer of patient locker
- Assist in the ordering and monitoring of stores and stock rotation.

The ideal applicant will have;
- Experience or a good understanding of a HCA duties and responsibilitie
- Experience in Caring for others
- The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
- Professional telephone manner
- Someone with the flexibility to fit into internal rotating shift pattern.
