Sen Lawyer

Reed are supporting a Berkshire local authority to recruit an interim SEN Lawyer.

This role requires an excellent working knowledge in key education legislation, in particular an ability to conduct special education needs Tribunal appeals.

The role involves advising the councils and schools on their duties in education law, providing training to client departments on key legislation and practice.

We are looking for someone to:

- Hold a caseload of SEN appeals, Education prosecutions, General Education advice and Disability Discrimination Claims
- Work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders
- Support and train junior colleagues
- Complete your advocacy in hearings in the tribunals and Courts

This assignment is for a minimum of 3 months but could well extend beyond this.

This position will offer hybrid working with the need to visit the office once or twice per week.
