**Salar**_y_**: Circa **£24,500 per annum (pro-rata)**

**Location**:Kenilworth, Warwickshire**

**Contract/Hours**:Permanent Part
- Time 24hrs per week on a rota basis to include Weekends**, Bank Holidays, Daytime and Late shifts.**

**A bit about the role**

**Warwickshire Disability** is a registered Children's Home offering residential overnight short breaks for children and young people with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. Our extremely dedicated and professional staff teamwork in a sensitive and caring way to support disabled children to remain living with their families.

We offer a homely welcoming environment, which makes children feel safe and where they can have fun enjoying different activities. Our aim is to provide positive, life enhancing experiences, and the staff team are committed to putting children at the heart of everything we do. They also develop positive relationships with families and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people that we work with.

**What you'll be doing**:
In the role of Residential Worker, you will be promoting Action for Children's values as well as supporting the Registered Manager and Teams Leaders to achieve positive outcomes.

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**
- Taking a lead with case/care planning management for individual children or young people.
- Supervising, guiding, or directing staff and volunteers, where required, and provide mentoring to newly appointed staff.
- Having a positive proactive outlook in providing support to children**.**:

- Taking responsibility for the personal care and the daily needs of the young people.
- Being resilient in supporting children through challenging situations.
- Being responsible for the safeguarding of young people.
- Maintaining accurate records of children's stays.

**Let's talk about you**

In the role of Assistant Residential Worker, we're ideally looking for someone who has:

- Experience of Shift Leading in a care setting.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Ability to maintain accurate records and to use Microsoft
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of working with children and young people.
- Experience and training in safeguarding
