Fibre Blower

**The Role**

Our client’s deliver service excellence on a nationwide basis and pride themselves and their reputation on being a leading Network Specialist.
- Working at heights or on Underground networks.
- Cable Blowing within the Underground network ducting infostructure.
- Experience of working on copper and Fibre optic infrastructure
- Supervising / assessing and auditing to ensure installations are to high standards.
- Installation of optical fibre cables and blowing and tubing into underground ducts.
- Jointing of blown Fibre bundles in tubing
- Reading Network maps and drawings
- Working as part of a team or as an individual.
- Own Health and Safety awareness of others.
- Processing of required paperwork.
- Using fibre blowing equipment.
- Live network fusion splicing.
- Working on FTTP networks.

**The Hours**

Monday-Friday, however you will be required to be able to stay away overnight/s where the work is out of local commutable distances. Along with some additional Overtime.

**The Location**

North East England, however due to the fluidity of projects may require travelling and lodging away.

**Important Bits**
- Experience in the communications industry would be beneficial.
- 3-4 years’ work within the North East and possibly the North West
- Qualified with NRSWA with unit 2
- Hold the required qualifications for Fibre Blowing / splicing.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience on sites.
- 28 Days holiday including bank holidays
- Full UK manual driving license held for 2 years is required for the role and over the age of 21 for insurance purposes.
- Rates either day rates or synthetics (negotiable on experience)
- CIS Self-employed / Sub contracted through us (Central Employment)

**Salary**: £160.00-£200.00 per day

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Fibre Blowing: 1 year (required)
- FTTP: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Fibre blowing / Splicing Acrediations (required)
- Streetworks Card (required)
