**MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE APPRENTICE**
- **Hours 8am-3:30pm Monday - Friday (37 hours/week)**:

**Trainee Maintenance Engineer**:

- learn how to carry out maintenance and repairs to a range of production machinery, maximising machine availability for production and minimising breakdowns and down time.
- Develop knowledge of machinery used in the plant in order to fault-find and problem solve
- Respond to equipment faults, unplanned problems and repairs, fitting new parts and ensuring equipment is working effectively, with through checking processes in place.
- Attend promptly to any problems that could cause a delay to production.
- Develop skills on a wide range of workshop equipment.
- To assist with general site maintenance and improvement tasks
- Assist with cleaning and change-over maintenance of production machinery

**Trainee Maintenance Engineering**:

- Willing to undertake an apprenticeship or qualification in maintenance or engineering.
- Basic mechanical skills and aptitude
- Willing to learn about electrical issues.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to learn on and off the job.
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify problems and suggest solutions.
- Dependable, organised, and methodical approach to work
- Good verbal communication skills, able to liaise with colleagues in different departments.
- Adaptable and flexible, a versatile team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
