As a Residential Support Worker at Phoenix Learning and Care, you will strive to support each person to develop and reach their potential, whilst ensuring they maintain and lead fulfilling lives. You will be promoting and encouraging each person to make their own informed decisions, build their independence and champion individuals’ health and holistic well-being. This may be by supporting an individual with daily living tasks, social activities, and emotional wellness. This could include such activities as swimming, pub trips, horse riding and holidays.

As a Support Worker, you will be supporting young adults with a variety of different needs, including learning disabilities, ASD, and complex needs that may be associated with behaviours that challenge. Bespoke training is offered, where required, in addition to continuous learning and self-development to ensure you have the skills you need. Working with these incredible young adults is highly rewarding and gives you the opportunity to make a positive impact in their daily lives and future.

- Individuals that are emotionally resilient, thick skinned and not afraid of the challenges that working in support may bring.
- Individuals who are empathetic and have a non-judgemental attitude.
- Individuals who are flexible, understand the 24-hour nature of the sector and are willing to work on a shift basis including sleep-in’s.
