**About the role**
Creative Minds is our National Lottery funded project for adults in West Kent which aims to improve mental health and wellbeing through engagement in creative activities and experiences. These 24-week Programmes run in locations across West Kent and are delivered in partnership with professional artists, local arts organisations and creative leads, supported by the West Kent Mind community wellbeing team.
This role will lead our Creative Agents Development Programme, which is designed for beneficiaries on our Creative Minds programme who show interest in developing their skills further and who want to support others within their own communities.
The Creative Agent Lead will support beneficiaries on an individual basis as well as in groups to offer support for up to one year after beneficiaries finish their Creative Minds programme.
The Creative Agent Lead will support Creative Agents to thrive and track individual learning journeys.
Working within the Community and Partnerships Team here at West Kent Mind, this role offers the opportunity to offer additional support to the Creative Mind participants.
**Who you are**
All previous experience may be paid or voluntary, full, or part-time, in the UK or overseas.
- Ideally, you will have previously supported people with their mental health and wellbeing.
- You know how to quicky and effectively process referrals.
- It is desirable that you know how to manage a Caseload.
- You will be familiar of how to deliver training.
- You are happy working as a team but equally are able to work independently.
- It is essential that you know your way around working in ways that are compliant with policies and procedures, for example, safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality and GDPR.
- Your knowledge and understanding of issues that can negatively impact mental health and strategies that could then positively impact mental health is crucial for this role.
- An awareness of issues around marginalised groups and the importance of working in ways that respect, celebrate and promote diversity would be advantageous in this role.
- Having a good working knowledge and understanding of other local services, for example health, social services, drug and alcohol support, benefits and related support.
**What you will offer us**
- You have an excellent standard of writing, spelling and grammar for recording and reporting purposes and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- You are able to participate in and contribute to idea sharing in team meetings.
- You are good at problem-solving and can deal effectively and calmly with challenging situations that may arise from time to time.
- You have an excellent working knowledge of IT skills such as Zoom/Word/Excel/ PowerPoint and Outlook.
- You can monitor, record and analyse client outcomes using quantitative and qualitative data.
- You have a high level of ability to carry out client assessments and keep accurate case notes.
- You are able to identify personal development needs and attend training when required.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle including insurance for business purposes would be desirable.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Together with the Community and Partnerships Manager, you will be setting and completing work objectives.
- You will be responsible for creating and managing a caseload of Creative Agents.
- You will be facilitating a weekly group to support Creative Agents to learn more about training opportunities, volunteering roles and other opportunities to support West Kent Mind within our community.
