The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. - Deliver efficiently: transform the way we deliver our services to reduce costs and increase productivity

Core Purpose HEO Digital Portfolio Manager to work as part of a small team to help manage, report and assure the CRCF Portfolio and associated Programmes and Projects.
Summary of the Role and key responsibilities Support the Lead Digital Portfolio Manager by:

- Tracking a portfolio of digital projects on their delivery progress using defined methods for each project/programme, escalating issues and resource constraints as appropriate.
- Providing analysis and update reports on progress to members of the leadership team making recommendations identifying any potential issues within your portfolio.
- Building, maintaining and managing long term strategic relationships, facilitating and influencing stakeholders through effective engagement with BAU activities.
- Ensuring compliance with standards and support adherence to all governance and assurance activity for the Service Teams or DWP Digital, ensuring all service standards are being met.

Technical Skills required for the Portfolio Support Officer

This should also include the Levels of skills you require - Uses recommended portfolio, programme and project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking. Sets up project files, compiles and distributes reports. Provides administrative services to project boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings. Provides guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques. (Level 3)
- Communicate in a straightforward, honest and engaging manner, choosing appropriate styles to maximise understanding and impact. Encourage the use of different communication methods, including digital resources and highlight the benefits, including ensuring cost effectiveness. Ensure communication has a clear purpose and takes into account people’s individual needs. Share information as appropriate and check understanding. Show positivity and enthusiasm towards work, encouraging others to do the same. Ensure that important messages are communicated with colleagues and stakeholders respectfully, taking into consideration the diversity of interests. (Level 3)
- Develop, implement, maintain and review systems and services to ensure delivery of professional excellence. Work with stakeholders to set priorities, objectives and timescales. Successfully deliver high quality outcomes that meet the customers’ needs and gives value for money. Identify risks and resolve issues efficiently. Involve a diverse range of colleagues, stakeholders and delivery partners in developing suggestions for improvements. Establish ways to find and respond to feedback from customers about the services provided. (Level 3)- Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas._
