Warehouse Supervisor

Since our launch in 1996, Whistlefish has become a leading art and greetings card retailer in the South West. We sell a wide selection of cards, wrapping paper, art prints, canvas art and gifts direct to customers through a network of 12 galleries and our website.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced warehouse supervisor to join our production and warehouse site in Redruth. The core shift is Monday to Friday, 07:30am to 16:00, with some weekend work required during the peak summer and Christmas periods.

The warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations and activities within our warehouse facility. Their main role is to ensure efficient and smooth functioning of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfilment and logistics coordination.

Job responsibilities and tasks associated with the role:
1. Supervising Warehouse Operations: This involves leading and directing a team of warehouse staff, ensuring that they follow safety guidelines and coordinating their tasks for efficient workflow.

2. Inventory Management: The warehouse supervisor is responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting regular audits and implementing inventory control procedures.

3. Order Fulfilment: They oversee the order processing and fulfilment process, ensuring timely and accurate picking, packing and shipping of products. This may involve coordinating with other departments or external vendors.

4. Quality Control: The supervisor ensures that all warehouse processes comply with quality standards. They may implement quality control measures, conduct inspections and address any issues or discrepancies that arise.

5. Equipment and Facility Maintenance: They oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, conveyors and storage systems. They may also coordinate with maintenance teams for facility repairs and improvements.

6. Staff Training and Development: The warehouse supervisor provides guidance, training, and mentoring to warehouse employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.

7. Reporting and Documentation: They maintain records, generate reports, and update relevant documentation related to inventory, operations, and safety compliance.

8. Health and Safety: Warehouse supervisors enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. They identify and address potential hazards, conduct safety training, and promote a culture of safety awareness.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
