Overall Purpose:
To be responsible for the logístical processes required to successfully receive and manage goods, and maintain these in line with business expectations. Ensure this is achieved whilst considering the legal requirements and the expectations of the customer.

Job Dimensions:
Lead the team to complete all duties within the department with accuracy and within a timely manner in order to meet the organisations key performance indications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Production & Production Planning teams to ensure material is available in line with shipping commitments
- Oversee all shipping activities such as co-ordination of time slots, shipping bays, Freight carriers, and the issuing of LTSD’s to suppliers are actioned
- Consistent monitoring of inventory turns in line with forecast, ensuring all goods inward systems are audited in line with relevant processes.
- Ensure finished goods stock is accurate and verified on SAP, to include cycle counting procedures.
- Investigate and report any stock inaccuracies in a timely manner Set KPIs to measure annual business performance in line with plant priorities
- Control budgets in line with departmental financial targets ie. overtime/downtime
- Drive team performance towards meeting expectations
- Demonstrate accountability for delivery against plan
- Champion data accuracy within systems such as SAP to ensure reliability of business performance information
- Lead in the de-escalations of customer concerns
- Facilitate and oversee compliance with all third-party regulations such as HMRC, and customer expectations Ensure relevant shipping processes are aligned with HMRC requirements
- Act as the Process Owner for all logistics processes, working closely with the Process Managers to standardize, maintain, confirm and improve them.
- Seek out opportunities to further improve costs and outputs by working collaboratively across the plant and the wider UK plant base

Knowledge & Experience:

- Previous experience of Stores functions
- Previous experience in automotive and/or manufacturing preferred.
- Previous supervisory or management of multi-functional teams
- Understanding of HMRC legal requirements
- Knowledge of SAP - Essential
- Proficient in use of Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
- Good interpersonal skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
