Legal Counsel

Executive Network Group have been retained on a search for a Legal Counsel to join our prestigious, London based client.
This is a newly created role, that will suit a qualified Legal Counsel with some PQE, or a first time mover from private practice with some corporate experience.
What you'll do
- We're looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to manage and coordinate the delivery of legal advice, supporting our clients group.
- You'll work closely with stakeholders and legal colleagues to ensure the timely, effective and efficient delivery of all issues, projects and initiatives, either directly or through a tea
- Drafting, structuring and negotiating commercial contracts, and agency agreements.
- Providing advice in relation to insurance matters (including claims) and supporting the risk management department in managing the company’s insurance programme
- Preparing and delivering legal training.
- Advising the company on industry related regulations
- Supporting pitch preparations, due diligence, reviewing sale documentation, issues involving shareholder rights, company incorporations and corporate authorisations.
Additionally, you'll be:

- Making sure that legal advice is readily understandable to non-lawyers, delivered within relevant timescales, and manages and minimises legal risks
- Delivering continuous improvement in operating practices and processes, including identifying efficiency's, improvements and opportunities to reduce costs
- Providing the communication of internal and external legal advice and helping to deliver transactions and projects to stakeholders in a commercial, user friendly and efficient manner
Experience required:

- Qualified Lawyer (UK or international)
- Some commercial experience in house, or gained via a secondment
- Experience of working with Management Consulting, Insurance Broking, Corporate Finance, Professional or Financial Services
