Sewing Machinist

A new opportunity has arisen within our growing team for a Sewing Machinist.

We are Very Displays Ltd, one of the fastest growing manufacturers and suppliers of portable display solutions. We are looking for a driven, ambitious and bright individual that has a keen eye for detail.

**Responsibilities**

As a Sewing Machinist you will be responsible for a number of tasks.
- Using different Sewing machines.
- Sewing flags and display fabrics.
- Working to deadlines.
- Checking quality and working to a high standard.
- To gain product knowledge through on-site training.

**Essential Skills & Qualities**
- A keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience in a Sewing Department - **Essential**
- Ability to use an overlocker / industrial sewing machines. - **Essential**
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and be pro-active when necessary.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
- Good verbal communication.
- Flexibility with working hours. (Overtime may be required)
- The ability to work well within a team and within a fast paced environment.

**Package**
- £11.75 per hour.
- 16 - 20 hours per week, flexibility with working hours.
- 23 days annual leave (Pro-rata’d depending on working days and hours) excluding bank holidays.

Pay: £11.75 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
