We have vacancies for experienced painters to work on a number of exciting projects in our workshop and on sites throughout Ireland.

**The role**

**Responsibilities**

**Blasting Responsibilities**
- Operation of high pressure blasting equipment for removal of coatings from surfaces such as steel and brick work (buildings, bridges, car parks etc.)
- Inspection and use of equipment including compressors, blast pots, filters, hoses, pressure gauges etc., prior to use and at required intervals
- Inspection of blasting operations to ensure compliance with agreed specification, Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements, keeping such records as required
- General housekeeping and maintenance of a clean and safe working environment - in the workshop and on site

**Painting Responsibilities**
- Preparation, cleaning and inspection of all plant, materials and equipment associated with daily tasks
- Stock management
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, including safe disposal of waste materials and appropriate housekeeping

**General**
- Ability to work autonomously and as member of a team
- Good attendance and time keeping
- Flexible and adaptable
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrate respect for all colleagues, clients, suppliers and members of public

**Essential Criteria**
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in surface preparation (including blasting) and/or spray painting
- Valid CSR card
- Proven right to work in the UK
- Full driving licence with access to vehicle
- Ability to commute to site locations
- Willing and able to undertake training or retraining required for the post and to adapt to the introduction of new working practices
- Access to mobile telephone
- Two references

**Desirable Certifications**
- ICATS
- PTS
- IPAF
- PASMA
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- Forklift licence
- Confined Spaces

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £14.50-£17.50 per hour
