**About You**

We are looking to expand our area Sales Team and recruit a results driven Sales Consultant for our development in Knebworth. Whilst having housebuilder or estate agency experience is advantageous, due to our in-depth training programme, this role could be suited to anyone from a customer-facing background; in industries such as hospitality, travel or retail.

You will need to be customer centric and can foster and deliver a positive customer experience at every stage of the customer journey. We are looking for the right personality for this role which is someone who is reliable, tenacious and ambitious with excellent interpersonal skills.

To be a Sales Consultant at McCarthy Stone, you will need to be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is able to use initiative. Our Sales Consultants often work independently, in charge of managing their own development; taking ownership of their database; organising events and having an input in marketing strategies.

**What do we look for in a Sales Consultant**

We understand the importance of our people and invest in training and development ensuring that you are provided with the guidance and support you need to truly realise your potential.

**You will have**:

- Previous customer-focussed sales experience is a pre-requisite, gained within a similar environment, whether that is within housebuilding, hospitality, or care.
- Previous experience of outbound calling, coupled with proven conversation rate of visit to reservation would be advantageous
- A valid UK Drivers Licence: in the event you are required to visit customers away from the site

**You will be**:

- Results driven, able to use own initiative, think outside the box, multitask, and work to multiple deadlines
- Highly competent in questioning and listening - to gain a genuine understanding of the customers’ requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt style to suit customer needs
- Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
- Proficient organisation and time management skills
- Ability to handle and manage difficult conversations with customers and third parties
