Job Description:
Sky Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a leading pallet solutions provider in Edmonton. They are looking for a dedicated and motivated Yard Operative to join their team. As a Yard Operative, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our yard, ensuring the efficient and organised handling of pallets and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
**Yard Organisation**: Maintain an organised and tidy yard, including the storage and stacking of pallets in designated areas.

**Quality Control**: Inspect and sort pallets for quality and structural integrity, identifying and segregating any damaged or unusable pallets.

**Pallet Handling**: Assist in the loading and unloading of pallets from trucks and trailers, using the necessary equipment and following established safety protocols.

**Inventory Management**: Keep accurate records of pallet inventory, tracking arrivals, departures, and quantities to ensure proper documentation.

**Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.

**Teamwork**: Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to meet production and shipping demands.

**Maintenance and Repairs**: Assist in basic maintenance and repairs of pallets, such as replacing damaged boards and repairing pallets when necessary.

**Forklift Operator Duties**:Operating the forklift, moving pallets to necessary areas across the yard.

Qualifications:

- No formal educational requirements; experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in an outdoor environment.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and handle heavy objects.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of pallets and their components is a plus.

Working Hours: This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. You will work from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay: The hourly pay for this position is £12.00 per hour.
