**Vibe Recruit** are looking for a **CNC** **Machine Operator** to work with our client who are based in the Rumney area of Cardiff.

**Working Hours**:
40 hours per week.
Monday to Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm.
Plus 8-hour overtime shifts offered on a Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm.

**Job Duties**:

- To operate CNC profiling machines such as Waterjet Cutter and to carry out routine operator maintenance on the machine.
- Work as a member of the production team on any task that you have been trained in.
- Accept responsibility for the quality of the work you produce.
- Comply with health & safety, housekeeping, environmental, quality, and human resources policies and procedures.
- Record the quantity produced and materials used accurately.
- Train other team members to operate equipment or carry out production tasks safely, and to the required quality standards.
- Learn new skills as required so that the production team can be flexible.
- Ensure that your workplace is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
- Ensure you understand the risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Carry out machinery checks and preventive maintenance as requested.

**Hourly Rate**:
£11.37 per hour (£23,600 per annum)
Increasing to £11.76 (£24,460) following successful probation period.
Plus Friday's overtime shift paid at 1.5 (£17 per hour).

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build cohesive working relationships
- Self-motivated and innovative
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery, ideally a Laser or Waterjet Cutter
- Exceptional time management, planning and organisational skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.37-£11.76 per hour
