**SUMMARY OF ROLE**

**Self Employed Surveyor**

**Potential to earn £50,000 plus**

The purpose of the role is to assess the energy efficiency of a property and provide solutions to improve, with Cavity Wall or Loft Insulation.

Undertaking surveys, following mutually agreed times with the customer, to convert suitable leads into firm orders.

In accordance with Thermabead’s customer focused installation service ensuring that all technical specifications are adhered to and all relevant safety checks and safety precautions are carried out in line with company and BBA procedures and best practice.

The role will involve travelling. Therefore, the ability to be flexible to accommodate customers, 5 days a week, with the potential of some evening and weekends, will be essential.

**Your Roles & Responsibilities**

1. Make appointments with customers to undertake surveys

2. Work on own initiative to complete duties in a timely manner

3. To consistently achieve core competencies in relation to customer focus, communication, health & safety & quality.

4. Carry out assessments of properties, converting suitable properties into firm work ready orders.

5. Effectively communicate with the customer before the installation to ensure they are fully aware of what measures will be carried out, and explain any necessary steps needed to ensure work can proceed.

6. Accurately complete all necessary documents and photos to the company, as required.

**Key Performance Indicators**
- Achieve daily and weekly targets.
- Ensure all work is carried out within system designer specifications.
- Effective and reliable communication skills with relevant staff.
- Ensure daily and weekly health and safety checks are completed in full and defects are reported.
- To comply with BBA audit requirements.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Able to work on own, unsupervised
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to plan and organize work
- Motivated to learn and continually develop expertise.
- Able to demonstrate commitment and drive at the same time as flexibility.
- Hold a full UK driving licence, and have own car
- Must have the drive to ensure that H&S and Quality legalities
- and standards are maintained and where possible improved,
- through strict adherence to internal and external policies, procedures and standards

**Experience**:
Not necessary as full training will be given

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience of working in the insulation industry
- DEA/retrofit assessor/coordinator qualified
- DBS

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
