Vigo Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice at Level 2. The Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship is a training program that prepares individuals to become competent pharmacy dispensers. The program is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, confidence, practical and professional skills to practice as pharmacy technicians. The apprenticeship training course typically lasts for 12-24 months.

Job Description: The Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of a pharmacy. This apprenticeship is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in pharmaceutical practices, medication dispensing, customer service, and healthcare regulations. The apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required for a successful career in pharmacy.

Qualifications Required: Potential apprentices must have GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English. Requirements:
**Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.**

**Good communication and customer service skills.**

**Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.**

**Willingness to adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.**Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their queries, offering advice on over-the-counter medications, and maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Medication Management: Learn to manage and organize medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and shelving medications appropriately.

Prescription Processing: Develop skills in processing and dispensing prescriptions accurately, verifying patient information, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety protocols to create a safe and clean working environment for both staff and customers.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Training and Development: Engage in an extensive training program that provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in your role as a Pharmacy Technician.
