Our client, based in Tamworth, requires an Inspector. £29-36K per annum. Duties include working in dimensional metrology using a wide range of measurement methods within the automotive, aerospace and racing industry. You will carry out dimensional inspection of mainly gauges and different types of gears using a variety of different machinery from gear analysers to CMM machines. This position requires effective teamwork, good communication skills, initiative, intelligent judgement, maintaining efficiency but also good dedication for the quality assurance of your work because quality is priority.

Job requirements
- Good understanding of engineering and metrology principles.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- HNC (Preferred but not required)
- Experience using CMM’s with MCOSMOS (MCOSMOS preferred but not required)
- At least 5 years’ experience within an engineering environment.
- Have an apprenticeship at NVQ Level 3 within an engineering field.
- Competent computer skills and good knowledge of Excel.
- Experience using micrometres & callipers.
- Experience within a UKAS environment (Preferred but not required).

Our client offers:

- Monday to Friday
- Flexible working hours, Monday to Thursday: Start between 6:30-8:00am and finish between 3:00-4:30pm. Friday: Start 6:30 - 8:00am and finish between 12-1:30pm.
- Salary: £14.88-£18.62 per hour depending on experience.
