An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Toolmaker based at our Doncaster site. The role will be 37 hours per week, on a shift basis (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)

The purpose of the role is to manufacture and maintain tools and machine parts for Aalberts IPS UK Operations across Doncaster & Manvers sites.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Making completely new tools and tool components (dies, bolsters, punches etc)
- Repairing and refurbishing existing tools
- Adhering to all company SH&E policies and procedures
- Ensuring tools are manufactured with the necessary quality and accuracy to meet specifications
- Provide technical support to Operations, Maintenance and Product & Process Development
- Safe operation of all toolroom equipment, according to SH&E requirements and ensuring no damage to machine, ancillary equipment, or tooling
- Setting and Operation of manual equipment(Lathes, Milling Machines, Grinders)
- Programming, setting and operation of CNC equipment
- Some aspects of equipment maintenance
- General Toolroom housekeeping
- Work to ensure the safety of themselves and others

**Experience**
- Time served apprentice from a Toolroom environment (including supporting qualifications applicable within apprentice program)
- General machining in a Toolroom environment
- Tool assembly and final fitting
- Tool maintenance, repair and refurbishment, trouble shooting
- Knowledge and experience of machining techniques and cutting tools of various types
- Knowledge of tool materials

**Skills**
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and other specifications
- Specifying cutting tools and ancillary equipment
- Computer literate
- CAD and CAM Literate - proficient in at least one CAM package
- Use of CNC machinery: High Speed Milling, Single and Twin Chuck Lathes, Grinder, Wire Cutter
- Use of Manual Lathes, Grinders and Milling Machines
- Able to inspect parts using manual measuring equipment
- Problem solving
- Motivated and engaged with work
- Team player, flexible, willing to learn and develop new skills and self

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
