**Job Summary & Mission**
This job contributes to Datotem Limited success by leading a team of store managers to create and maintain the Subway experience for our customers and all partners. The Operational lead is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the store by spending the majority of his or her time supervising and directing the store managers and their deputies, making staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store’s financial performance and maximizing store profitability, and managing safety and security within the store.
The Operational lead is responsible for modelling and acting in accordance with Subway and Datotem Limited guiding principles.
**Overview of Key Responsibilities**
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
**Leadership - Setting goals for the store Managers, developing organizational capability, and modelling how we work together**:
- Trains and holds all partners accountable for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Plans, identifies, communicates and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to the store Manager.
- Manages with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture values and mission of Datotem Limited
- Drives the implementation of company programs by developing action plans and directly motivating and instructing the store Managers to implement them.
- Provides coaching and direction to the store Manager to take action and to achieve operational goals.
**Operational Planning & Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution and measuring results**:
- Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications, and regularly uses discretion to filter communications to the store managers.
- Communicates clearly, concisely, accurately and professionally at all times.
- Constantly monitors and work with store managers to effectively manages store staffing levels to ensure sales are driven forward and maximized, and to ensure managers and staff development and talent.
- Ensure that Store managers maintains at all times the Hours of Operation established for the store.
- Attends all meetings, seminars, and other business functions as mandated by the Company.
- Regularly inspects equipment and fixtures, inside and outside the store, to ensure they are in proper working order and good condition.
**Business Requirements - Provide functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities**
- Regularly utilizes management information tools and analyses financial reports, on a daily, weekly and period basis, to identify and address tends and issues in store performance.

- Ensures and is accountable for achieving sales, costs and profitability targets.
- Uses all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the store.
- Ensures and is accountable for stores adherence to applicable wage and hours laws for all team members.
- Ensures and is responsible for adherence to Subway corporate’s compliance standards, with particular focus on those standards relating to food safety.
- Regularly uses discretion in accessing external resources to support store operations and to execute company wide initiatives.
- Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the community.
**Team Member Development/Team Building - Providing partners with coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities and building effective teams**:
- Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results.
- Ensures partners adhere to legal compliance requirements.
- Ensures partners adhere to all established Subway operational standards.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with store team. Actively manages store partners by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve partner performance.
