£21.67 per hour Umbrella
£19.74 per hour PAYE premium
Engineer. The Role
- You will be part of a team of 20-25 working alongside other engineers to provide install, move and change (IMAC) services.
- Provide thorough and efficient work to deliver excellent customer solutions, with an emphasis on quality resolutions.
- Partner, as required, with other IT teams (Dell's teams/other partners') as appropriate to ensure problem resolution is obtained and, if necessary, root cause is identified, and the solution is of a high quality.
- Complete installation and testing of servers and storage (DELL EMC technology).
- Provide time/resource estimates for assigned tasks including time tracking activities.
- Travel locally as required.
- Prepared to work evenings/weekends occasionally

Your Profile Key skills/knowledge:

- Professional demeanour and strong customer service/consulting/training skills.
- Experience installing infrastructure hardware in the datacentre
- Have a good understanding of large datacentres
- Preferably experience installing the following Dell Technologies - Isilon, Data Domain, Unity, VxRail, Connectrix -Initiation, powering up and installation
- Basic experience with IT with basic understanding of networks, Intel servers, and telecoms.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Experience delivering against service levels to tight deadlines
- Ability to walk long distances across large facilities.
- Ability to pass a background security check, and if required, security clearance.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
