Tyre Fitter

Tyre Technician required at our Orbit Wellingborough site.

D Joyce & Sons, trading as Orbit Tyres Wellingborough, is a family owned and run business that has been trading since 1957, the year Sputnik was launched, hence the trading name name Orbit. We have three sites, Rushden, Wellingborough and Leighton Buzzard.

Starting as a one bay tyre shop in Rushden and then expanding the sites and locations we have today has seen us grow our range of services widely. From just tyres and then batteries to where we are now carrying out a wide range of repairs including MOT testing, servicing and diagnostics.

You must have the ability to work independently on a range of tyre sizes and types. Most of our workflow is cars, vans and SUV type vehicles. Experience with four wheel alignment and light mechanical work would also be beneficial.

There is also potential for the right person to progress into fast fit mechanical repairs, service technician and even MOT tester. We are closed all bank holidays, Sundays and only open half day on Saturdays. Other benefits include free onsite parking and cost price parts and tyres for you personal vehicle.

Pay dependant upon age and experience.

Our standard opening hours are 0800-1730 Monday to Friday and 0800-1300 on Saturdays. 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
