**Job Summary**

An opportunity to join the growing team at Arran Pipeline Supplies T/A Collister and Glover, a leading plumbing and engineers supply merchant, at our office in Deeside, North Wales. Must have some prior knowledge of plumbing, heating and / or engineering products. The position is for a Full-Time role, Monday to Friday, with the ability to work between 8:30am to 5pm.

In terms of the company you would be joining, Arran Pipeline Supplies is an independent family-owned company, which was founded in Warrington in 1974. Initially, the company specialised in the supply of steel pipe and fittings, quickly building a reputation for product knowledge, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service.

Since then, the company has expanded both geographically and in terms of its product offering, having opened a site in South Wales in 1989 and most recently through acquiring the business of Collister & Glover in Deeside. Today, the company is part of the wider FDL Packaging Group, who have been operating across the UK for more than 50 years and remains fully family owned.

**Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant will have an interest in or some experience of engineering, plumbing, or heating.

With an outgoing personality and pleasant manner, you will be computer literate and flexible in both attitude and working hours.

This is a challenging opportunity with great potential for someone who is prepared and able to show initiative. Based in the Warehouse you will be expected to carry out the following duties:
- Serving customers at our Trade Counter, taking orders and dealing with customer enquiries including assisting with product selection
- Providing quotations to Customers
- Prepare and enter customer orders and enquiries onto the computer system ensuring competitive and up to date prices are given
- Liaise and work closely with the transport department to arrange delivery of goods to customers
- Receive goods into stock, put away and keep stores tidy.
- Pick and pack goods for despatch
- Carry out stock takes as and when needed
- Assist in developing future sales and contribute towards future sales plans
- Make local deliveries of goods to Customers on company vehicles when required

**Skills and Qualifications**

We are looking for someone with prior industry experience and thus some knowledge of plumbing, heating, and engineering products. More details of required skills are listed below:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Some existing knowledge of plumbing products
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good numeracy skills to accurately calculate sales prices, discounts, and percentages when needed
- Time management skills

As with all new staff, we will work with you over time to develop any required skills and to help you to get used to our operating systems.

**Salary and Benefits**

**Salary**: £12 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Sales: 2 years (preferred)
- Plumbing, heating, engineering knowledge or: 2 years (preferred)
