Kidzeco is a successful and well-established social enterprise based in West Lothian providing affordable, high quality pre-loved children’s goods to families in our communities. Our community work focuses primarily on addressing health inequalities in families with young children and pregnant women. We are looking to recruit a Food Coordinator to deliver day to day operations within our Family Food Pantry.

**Accountability**
The post holder is accountable for:
- Co-ordinating the day-to-day operations of the Family Food pantry to successfully reduce food waste, build stronger partnerships with the community and provide access to nutritious food.
The main duties and responsibilities of the post will be:
- Tracking and recording of all food donations and stock management including monitoring stock levels
- Co-ordinate weekly purchase and pick up of fresh food
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner organisations and food donators to secure and collect surplus food
- Measure and evaluate the impact of the Family Pantry
- Recruit and manage volunteers to support the Family Pantry as required
- Maintain booking system and analyse customer data and report accordingly
- Support Kidzeco staff/volunteers as required
- Assist with the launch of new products and marketing campaigns

Ability to coordinate distribution and delivery to tight timescales
Positive and proactive; a team player actively contributing to the hands-on delivery and development of services
Empathic, non-judgmental and committed to preserving the dignity of customers at all times
Organised, enthusiastic and self motivated
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices
Computer literate and ability to learn new systems
Full clean driving licence
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
**Desirable Criteria**
Coordination of a food distribution service including generating donations and managing stock
Working with, supporting, and training volunteers
Ability to motivate and influence others
Knowledge of the voluntary/third sector
REHIS Food Hygiene Level 2 Certification
Knowledge of food poverty services in West Lothian
Experience of creating and managing spreadsheets and databases
Experience of managing a budget
