- The geochemistry team undertake a wide variety of work and have produced innovative solutions to complex problems, many of which have been published in the scientific community. Fields where our skill set are differentiator include mining, waste management and contaminated land studies.**About the role**

You will form part of a highly skilled team delivering a range of geochemical/hydro-chemical technical studies for clients around the globe. We will provide comprehensive training on the use of geochemical and hydro-chemical modelling software, and will provide the opportunity to undertake site investigation work, where we will help you develop skills using onsite geochemical tools.
- We will train you in the use of Heath, Safety and Environment tools, including the production of risk assessments
- You will work within an experienced team of geochemists, hydrogeologists and hydrologists with whom you will be working to help deliver projects, develop skills as a project manager and help write proposals
- Support the team in highlighted technical innovation; we will help you learn, and become aware of, relevant technical guidance in the mining, land quality and waste characterisation
- Work across other sectors with SLR staff in disciplines including the Advisory, Environmental Management and Compliance, Engineering and Environmental Specialist Services Groups

The role will provide the opportunity to travel across the UK, Europe and internationally.**About you**

You will have a relevant first degree and postgraduate geochemical or related qualification and intend to work toward Chartership at UK Recognised Organisation.
- You will need to demonstrate an aptitude for study/research in the field of geochemistry/hydrochemistry demonstrating appetite to develop a broad range of skills. A thesis at undergraduate or post graduate applicable to geochemistry/hydrochemistry would be an advantage.
- You must have a full current driving licence valid in the UK. Overseas travel is also something which may be required from time to time.**Diversity, Equity and Inclusion**
