Bricklayer/labourer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Brick layer to Initially undertake an existing job on a new-build project. Initial works will be the completion of blockwork to drawings spec followed by full brick package.

**Duties**:

- Lay bricks to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto bricks or blocks
- Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and hammers to align and set bricks
- Cut bricks to size using power tools or manual methods
- Repair or replace damaged bricks or structures
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project specifications are met

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
- Strong knowledge of bricklaying techniques and masonry materials
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in brick placement
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in using power tools for cutting and shaping bricks
- Knowledge of carpentry skills for framing structures
- Welding skills for reinforcing structures when necessary
- Familiarity with various hand tools used in masonry work
- Understanding of roof construction techniques for integrating brickwork

Contract length: 3 weeks

Pay: £135.42-£226.98 per day

**Experience**:

- Plastering: 1 year (preferred)
- Bricklaying: 7 years (required)
- Masonry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (required)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
