**Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Fusion Housing.**

**FUSION HOUSING** works across the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield districts of West Yorkshire, providing help for our communities to find and maintain housing through legal advice, employment support, learning opportunities, supported accommodation and local food bank provision.

Fusion Housing Food Bank provides emergency food parcels for people in crisis across North Kirklees. In the last year we have provided over 4000 food packs and over 100 furniture packs. We are looking for someone committed to helping those in crisis. Are you passionate about helping those in need? Have you the skills for this busy and exciting role?

Fusion Housing Foodbank is looking for a **Foodbank & More Assistant**. This exciting post involves driving as well as dealing face to face with clients in a foodbank setting. We are looking for an organised and friendly individual to assist in the day to day running of the foodbank and furniture service, including stock management, taking referrals and providing food/furniture packs to those in need. The role will also involve helping with driving our van and moving and handling heavy crates and boxes. You will be working with both staff and volunteers in a flexible, dynamic way.

**The successful applicant will**:

- Be able to work in a customer service environment and communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Be able to keep clear, accurate and up to date client records within an organisational database, and use office administration systems.
- Have good organisational skills, be able to work to time schedules, work independently and within a team.
- Be committed to equal opportunities, have a non-judgemental attitude and be able to work alongside volunteers and staff to provide food parcels to local people in need of support
- Be willing to adapt to changing demands of the role
- Be willing to undertake training
- Be physically fit and able to carry out manual work
