Gardener / Horticulturalist

**We are looking for a gardener to join our small team**

**£13 - £15ph depending on experience and qualifications.**

We are looking for someone who loves plants and care about customers and their gardens. This would be the perfect opportunity for someone looking to work independently/self employed for the business on a part time basis (2-3 days a week). All tools are provided and looking for someone to start immediately.

We're a small but growing garden maintenance company looking after a wide range of gardens around Hindhead, Farnham, Haslemere, Bordon and Alton.

The day typically starts at around 7:45am in Hindhead, aiming to arrive at the first garden at 8am. We can visit up to 4 gardens a day all varying in their size, needs and care. Most gardens are plant-bed work including weeding, planting, pruning, mulching, development and any general maintenance. Some clients employ greenskeepers however the odd mowing, small tree pruning, hedge cutting and strimming may be required. We usually stop for a tea break in the morning, a 30min unpaid break at lunchtime, ending around 4:30/4:45pm then returning to Hindhead.

If you're the ideal gardener for us you'll meet the following requirements:

- Hold or be working towards a horticultural qualification or have at least 2 years experience in garden maintenance.
- Can identify common weeds, plants, shrubs and trees.
- Competent in the use of garden machinery.
- Be able to use own initiative.
- Be able to work as part of a team or independently.
- Happily work outside in all weathers.
- Able to take on manual, hands on, sometimes heavy work.
- Be customer focused.
- Hold a clean driving licence for a min of 12 months and can drive a manual vehicle to drive company van.

We close over the Christmas, New Year and early part of January.

**Salary**: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
