Well Placed HR are delighted to have been exclusively retained to source a talented Director of People for a fast growing and highly successful nationally operating business based in West Cornwall. The company has experienced phenomenal growth over recentyears and with a dramatic increase in employee headcount throughout the UK and beyond, they rightly consider their people to be their most valuable asset.

In this newly created position the successful Director of People will join an established people management team, assuming lead responsibility for the function and working closely with the company’s tier-one management team. It’s a full time, permanent opportunitythat offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement to suit both sides.

This will be a broad and multi-faceted role where the Director of People will effectively oversee all aspects of the company's people management and HRM strategy. Whilst the role will develop in scope, the anticipated core focus should include:

- Assume key responsibility for all aspects of the company’s people and culture strategy
- Lead a small but well established HRM team to include HR Manager and talent acquisition specialist
- Devise, implement and develop an exceptional recruitment strategy with accompanying policy and practice
- Design and implement and training and mentorship strategy that ensures exceptional staff retention and personal development
- Review, update and develop existing HR controls
- Take overall responsibility for ensuring that the company adheres to a modern, professional and compliant HRM practices
- Work closely with department managers to ensure that all employees feel rewarded and nurtured in their role
- Managing HR documentation and electronic people management systems
- Act as the senior level contact for employee relations
- Leading disciplinary processes
- Reviewing and remuneration and reward strategies
