Ground Worker

Construction Trade Solutions are looking for a hardworking, motivated and experienced Groundworker with 360 Dumper / Roller ticket assisting with slabbing, kirbing and draining etc. If hired, you’ll be an integral part of the team by helping with groundwork.

Role: Groundworker

Location: Pickhill, Thirsk

Hours of work: 7:30am - 4:30pm

Pay rate: £20.00 per hour

**Duties and responsibilities of the role**

Our client are looking for someone who has experience working as a 360 excavator assisting with deep drainage and groundwork.

The job role involves the following duties:

- Clearing a construction site
- Digging trenches for foundations
- Setting up a site, putting up barriers, safety signs, huts, etc.
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Providing excavation support to other construction professionals
- Interpreting the use of drawings and specifications
- Laying pavements, kerbs and driveways
- Concreting sites
- Removing drainage and pipework systems
- Operating plant machinery, such as excavators and dumper trucks
- Preparing the ground/foundations to allow construction to begin
- Redirecting waterways and connecting pipes with existing pipework.

**Skills and attributes (desirable)**

We are looking for someone who has the ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools, operate and control equipment. Have a great attention to detail, ability to work well with others

**About you**

You must have a valid CSCS/CPCS card and NPORS - above and below 10 tonne.

Additional tickets/qualifications that would be beneficial include; Level 1 Certificate in Construction Skills, Level 2 Award in Skills for Engineering, IPAF, MEWP, PASMA, First Aid, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels or any other industry related courses.
