**Job summary**:
The HFEA is the UK's independent regulator overseeing safe and appropriate practice in fertility treatment and embryo research. We license and monitor clinics carrying out IVF, donor insemination, and human embryo research.

We are looking for a full time (36 hours) Records Management Assistant to provide project-based support to organise and prepare original physical documents for digital preservation within the Information team. This team manages requests from donors, donor-conceived individuals and their parents for information about donors, siblings and outcomes held on the Register in line with the HFE Act.

**Job description**:
The purpose of this role will be to provide an effective and efficient records preparation service to manage the paper estate until this is digitalised and securely destroyed in time.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Information team. You will have the chance to make a real and tangible difference to our work and the lives of patients

**Person specification**:
Experience of managing physical documents and filing systems

Experience of handling confidential/ sensitive data and in navigating complex datasets

Performing repetitive tasks with concentration and with an eye for detail

Knowledge of data protection principles

Knowledge of records management

A basic understanding of electronic records management for example Content Manager or other document management system

Working with health records
