Senior Playworker

We have a senior playworker position available for a qualified childcare level 3 or above in childcare and education or equivalent to run our setting with age ranges from 3-4 year olds

We are looking for a fun, motivated individual to join our team. We have child care settings within 2 schools in Caerphilly, offering wrap around care, after school club and holiday club. We are looking for a reliable team member to work with us.

Hours are term time Monday
- Friday Term time to run our setting for wrap around. 11.15 - 3.15 (20 hours)

We have addition hours in our other setting around the corner for After school club and Holiday club if you need more hours.

Responsibilities and Key Duties:
To provide high standards of quality within the club including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.

Be able to run and be up to date with Ciw regulations.

Observe, support and extend children's learning. Plan appropriately and ensure rich and diverse outdoor play experiences are offered

Demonstrate good practice with regard to emerging needs and inclusion.

Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand, and when necessary follow, Child Protection Procedures.

Develop and maintain highly professional working relationships with the staff and other agencies that may visit the setting.

Ensure the general cleanliness of the environment at all times.

Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures e.g. fire precautions, security, dropping off and collection of children.

Promote the club to current parents and potential customers.

Work as a team with other staff members.

Qualifications and Skills.

You must have a Childcare level 3 or above and 2 years experience is required for this post.

A DBS will be required and paid for by the employer.

Contract length: Permanent

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 2 years (required)
- Management: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
