**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparation of accounts from a variety of client’s systems - Sage, Xero, QuickBooks etc
- Preparation of corporation tax computations
- Actioning queries raised by accounts and tax managers on the accounts and working papers prepared
- Finalisation of the accounts following client meetings
- Acting as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries
- Assisting on audit assignments
- Mentoring of junior members of the team
- Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
- Be AAT Level 4 qualified or nearing completion of Level 4 or be qualified by experience
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an accounting practice
- Experience of preparation of year end accounts for owner-managed small to medium business including sole traders, partnerships and limited Companies
- Be able to work to tight deadlines
- Be driven and proactive, ensuring that our commitment to providing excellent service levels to our clients is met.
- Good knowledge of accounting software packages such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc. would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
- Keen to take on additional responsibilities and ambition to progress to more senior roles within the firm.
- Preparation of charity accounts
- Audit of small companies and charities
- Solicitors Accounts Rules
