**Senior Service Designer - up to £49,000 - Hybrid (One Day a Week in Newport)**

**The Opportunity**

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a very interesting Civil Service Organisation who are presently undertaking a unique organisational transformation project.

We are supporting them to recruit a Senior Service Designer, who will work as part of the Continuous Improvement team to implement User Centred Design principles across digital transformation initiatives.

**This role is ideal for anyone who has government digital service experience, and would like to re-enter the sector**

**What the Senior Service Designer will be doing**
You will be working across a number of projects delivering on content design, interaction design and service design.
- Develop Service Design best practices
- Deliver iterative change to services, and re-evaluate efficiencies
- Take charge of communities of practice
- Promote a consistent high-quality user experience
- Ensure the quality of existing services

**What the successful Senior Service Designer will bring to the team**
You will have strong User Centred Design experience - especially with deliverables like service blueprints, user flows, process flows and site maps.
- Recent Government Digital Service experience is strongly preferred
- Strong UCD skills, as above
- Previous experience leading communities of practice
- Coaching or mentoring of designers in UCD principles
- Ability to work effectively in agile environments
- Effective communication ability in line with existing design standards
