Technical Assistant - Food Science Degree - FMCG, TW16
**£30k - £35k + bonus + benefits.** Great railway networks. Car park on site. Monday - Friday.

**Hybrid**:

- WFM / office 2/3 days depending on current projects - Permanent Role.

**Qualifications for the Technical Assistant - FMCG Role - Food Industry**:

- Food Science Degree or equivalent SKILLS.
- HACCP level 3 minimum.

**Responsibilities for the Technical Assistant - FMCG - Food Industry**:

- Technical account management, maintaining customer databases, specification completion, maintaining good customer relationships.
- Complaints management, from initial notification through to closure.
- NPD & EPD projects, including specifications, pack copy, product testing, artwork approval.
- Product Testing and legal check compliance.
- Sample preparation for laboratory, Brandbank and customers.
- Supplier Management, supplier approval, data and information management, documentation review.
- Maintaining BRC procedures and updating in line with changes, legislation, and customer requests.
- HACCP process and procedures.
- Supporting the technical team in delivering business objectives.

**Monthly Reports**:

- Completing KPI Reports internal and for customers.
- Completing any internal reports.
- Completing the horizon scanning report.

**Experience for the Technical Assistant Role: FMCG - Food Industry**
- Experience of interaction with retail customer technical teams.
- BRC accreditation process.
- Understanding of creating retailer specifications.
- Experience of preparing products for testing.
- Reading and understanding laboratory analysis reports.
- 2nd Language would be desirable.

**Additional Duties**:

- Supporting any NPD projects.
- Attending 1st production runs.
- Any other reasonable request to accomplish the company objectives.

Looking for and individual to join a fast technical environment, you will be required to deal with the technical duties on a daily basis, technical account management, specifications for products, product testing and maintaining legislation. It is essential you have a technical qualification, Food Science Degree work history within a technical function within the industry and experience in the UK retail market.
