Our Response Repairs department is on the frontline of customer care, fixing all sorts of physical housing issues for residents every day, so they can keep enjoying their homes.

**The Role**:
Our Repairs service crosses houses, site works and commercial premises. As a painter and decorator, you might find yourself working in any and all of these from one day to the next. Friendly Response Planners will send jobs to your PDA, or you may be scheduled to take part in planned works.

Wherever you are, and whatever the challenge is, you will draw on your technical know-how and experience to deliver an excellent job. Crucially, you will also use your customer service skills to build a good rapport with people, especially if they may be under stress.

If you ever need support, your colleagues, planners and supervisors will only ever be a call away. In return for your dedication, you will enjoy training and development opportunities, including the chance to learn how to supervise and mentor apprentices.

**About You**:
To join us, you will need an NVQ in decorating or an equivalent level of experience. Ideally, your experience to date will include work in social housing, as well as in commercial properties. Your skills include wallpaper hanging, plus work outside of properties - ideally, your experience will include plastering and patch repairs. You will certainly need to be comfortable working at height, for example on towers or up ladders. Crucially, you have the emotional intelligence and communication skills to build a positive rapport with clients, even in challenging environments.
