Laser Operator

Our client is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Laser Operator to join their busy and expanding team based in Shirebrook.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring material is checked for size, thickness and grade, prior to cutting and to inform of any quality concerns regarding the material
- Responsible for quality of components that have been cut on the machine and standard of fettling if required
- Ensure customer orders are produced ‘On time and In Full time’ to required quality standard
- Marking up of cut parts, cleaning and fettling parts
- Assisting colleagues on shift
- Ensure the parts are routed correctly to the next part of the process in a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Must have previous machine experience
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Knowledge of different metals
- Competent in the use of all forms of measuring equipment including verniers, rulers, angle measuring devices
- Able to set and maintain a high standard of workmanship
- Able to work pro-actively and as part of a team to improve productivity and efficiency
- Understanding of Company quality procedures and specific customer requirements
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, rotating shifts 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm.
