After 3 great seasons Jen is leaving for a new career - meaning we are looking for a super competent groom/rider to work alongside the existing team.

The yard is based 5 miles west of Morpeth on the Meldon Estate, it is a modern yard which has been designed with horse welfare in mind and ease of management alongside good facilities.

You must be happy and confident to ride fit hunters and to help exercise the pointers when necessary.

Excellent turnout skills are a must and experience within a similar role would be great.

This is a rural position, so a driving license is essential, an HGV licence would be a bonus. The role is supported by an experienced and knowledgeable part time team but there are times when you will be expected to work alone, so you must be responsible. When necessary you will be arranging vets, farriers etc.

A charming 2-bedroom cottage is included with the role including all heating and hot water plus a competitive salary of circa £28 000 and pension.

A well-behaved gelding would also be welcomed offering free stabling, turnout and haylage.
