Having a good standard of education including maths and English, and ideally proven experience of working within a driver capacity (up to 3.5 tonne vehicle). Primarily your role will be to deliver goods safely and in a timely manner, making sure the loadis in good condition when arriving at the destination

**The main duties of the role include**:

- Plan and efficient delivery routes throughout the South West to safely ensure goods are delivered in a timely manner to customers.
- Comply with health and safety requirements to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy before each and every journey, through daily vehicle checks, reporting all vehicle defects to the Line Manager as appropriate for your branch.
- Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Make sure that your personal appearance is smart and you wear the uniform provided and that you provide a professional customer first attitude with all customers/branches.
- Keep your designated vehicle clean and tidy at all times, both inside and out.
- Ability to handle fragile packages and parcels with care and adhering to manual handling regulations - some heavy lifting eg of gas cylinders is a requirement of the role.
- Communicates with customers by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival
- Maintains communication with management to be informed of any change of delivery, route or schedule and informs management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time
- Keeps accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is submitted to management on time.
- Properly uses and monitors delivery equipment.
- To assist in the warehouse to take delivery of goods for unloading, sorting, stacking and storage process/pick order requests for all stock items for a customer collection and /or delivery from the warehouse.
- Accurately pick orders by processing requests in a timely and orderly manner.
- Checking and packing orders for both internal and external customers.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements including wearing appropriate PPE at all times (PPE is provided), complying with all standards in place.
- To undertake all relevant training for the role.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and tidy to ensure a safe working environment at all times. To assist in other warehouse functions and processes where required.
- A full UK driving licence is required. It would be an advantage if you had a Fork Lift Truck Licence, however, training can be provided.
