Weekend Kitchen Assistant - 16.5 Hours a week

Wisteria Lodge is a care home with nursing located in Horndean, Waterlooville for Elderly residents.

Experience working in a care home environment is desirable

Job Summary
- To assist Head Chef to provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner to the residents.
- To prepare a light meal for supper along with a soup.
- To wash up and leave a tidy kitchen at the end of each day.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To help prepare trollies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and to ensure that all trollies are collected promptly
- Daily communication with residents and Care team leaders about diet and menu requirements
- To ensure that the kitchen cleaning rota is adhered to at all times and that the kitchen is hygienically clean and the floor mopped when necessary
- To load the dishwasher and/or wash-up by hand when required
- To ensure all washed items are clean and dry before putting them away
- To assist with the ordering of supplies if requested to do so
- To assist to put away any supplies delivered to the Home promptly

Schedule:

- Weekend Day Shifts, Saturday and Sunday
- Ideally Saturday 8 to 16:30 and Sunday 8 to 2

COVID-19 considerations:
Fully vaccinated - desirable ( considering working with vulnerable group)

DBS Enhanced check required
