**Job Overview**
**The Associate Director,** **Project Management is** responsible for leading a team of Project Managers to ensure translation and localization projects are delivered according to IQVIA’s standards and client requirements. He/she builds and maintains strong relationships within the team as well as with internal and external stakeholders and clients. He/she ensures that all translation and localization projects are delivered on time and budget, and recommends synergies, enhancements and improvements as needed.
The Associate Director, Project Management should ensure the highest standard of quality as well as high productivity and utilization of the team and should be able to track and report these to the IQVIA Translations Services (ITS) leadership team.
The Associate Director, Project Management should have excellent commercial and communication skills to be able to work in collaboration with the IQVIA revenue recognition team to build production and delivery commercial strategy. He/she can act as main production and delivery lead for big accounts or specific translation and localization services within IQVIA portfolio that required worldwide coordination and leadership.
The Associate Director Project Management will report to the Head of Project Management who will define his/her job focus based on the requirements coming from the client and service portfolio.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead Project Management teams under his/her remit and ensure they all meet their monthly and yearly goals and objectives
- Lead the definition and documentation of ITS production and delivery commercial materials in alignment with the Head of Project Management
- Represent ITS in strategic RFP processes as needed
- Act as link between revenue recognition team and production and delivery during RFP processes
- Lead the relationship with client and revenue recognition team for the clients/services assigned to him/her
- Prepare and implement smooth on-boarding plans for future new clients
- Work with the Associate Director, Project Management to assess the scope of new clients and alignment within the Project Management team
- Manage the assessment of client’s expectations or specifications and advise on best practices when appropriate to ensure content effectiveness and client satisfaction
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal/external clients and manage any escalations or issues that may arise
- Comply with relevant and applicable IQVIA procedures
- Work with Senior Project Managers to help in the training and development of junior staff.
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Team Lead in the Language Services industry with extensive experience of preparing and presenting RFPs
Has experience in closely collaborating with clients, revenue recognition and commercial teams
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Fluency in English is essential, an additional language would be a strong asset
Permanent attention to project management effectiveness whilst maintaining high quality standards
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities and changing demands
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills including the collection, management and presentation of data
Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiative
Demonstration of very good IT skills
Experience working with XTRF and/or memoQ as well as with any TMS would be highly advantageous
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the hub as well as with clients with demonstrated cultural and emotional intelligence
Ability to foster personal and professional development of team members as well as contribute to succession planning when needed
**Education and Experience Required**:
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business or scientific field OR at least 7 years of experience in the translations and localization industry.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience leading translations/localization RFP process.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience leading translations/localization Production and delivery teams.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
- Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
- Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
- Available to travel to occasional business meetings across the world as per client and production and delivery demands
