**Key Responsibilities**
- Overall responsibility for introduction and maintenance of production line equipment, ensuring uptime targets are achieved.
- Supervisory role, leading and managing direct reports in the day to day maintenance activities supporting a zero breakdown goal.
- Working with Manufacturing & Quality Engineering and the machine tool vendors to identify opportunities to improve the uptime and efficiency of the equipment - and ensure issues are identified and resolved up front.
- Analyse production performance and identify and prioritise improvement actions and projects for processes, facilities and tooling
- Work with vendors to analyse equipment failures, plan and implement preventative changes including equipment updates and refurbishments
- Using external data sources to analyse data to drive strategic maintenance activities, such as FRACAS etc
- Lead Kaizen/ CI activities with integrated production and maintenance teams.
- Develop the maintenance strategy for the EPMC ensuring alignment with business policies and vision.
- Lead the EPMC in the global JLR IPS element of TPM.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers, machine tools vendors, integrated production and maintenance teams across all areas and provide coaching if required.
- Feedback on key issues/lessons learned for future programmes.
- Ensure adequate spares are available to support the manufacturing function.
- Identify training opportunities for Integrated Manufacturing Technicians (IMT) to create a maintenance team that has the ability to operate as a stand-alone entity, requiring mínimal external support.

**Skills, experience and qualifications required**
- Supervisory skills or Project management skills desired.
- Be aware of JLR leadership behaviours and be capable of demonstrating proven areas of strength
- Experience and knowledge of engine component machining / assembly / testing.
- Ability to utilise preventive maintenance system data from systems such as SAP PM or similar systems
- An ability to communicate across functional boundaries and at different levels is essential.
- Understands asset management tools and techniques and is able to train to all levels of the organization.
- Be able to work independently, manage priorities, identify issues and solutions using own initiative, coupled with a desire to make a difference and tenacity to achieve results
- Demonstrate drive, a creative flair with a customer focussed approach and good organisational skills and has the ability to multi-task; manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus.
- Qualified or working towards at least HNC level in a related field.
