- We are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to join our small but thriving school. We are a caring, supportive and friendly school community with a strong commitment to collaborative working to achieve the very best for our pupils.
- We are a small primary school, situated at the foot of the South Downs in West Ashling, just a 10-minute drive from the centre of Chichester. We have a committed team of staff who work hard to provide outstanding learning opportunities, making the most of our school grounds and local environment. Our school motto is ‘Moving Forward, Loving Learning’.
- The role involves working under the direction of the class teacher and/or SENCO to support children within the classroom, in small groups or 1:1. At lunchtime, the role requires supervision of children while they eat and play and supporting them to make positive social relationships with peers.
- You should be comfortable working with children in a broad range of learning situations and must be confident to support children with reading, writing and Maths. A GCSE or equivalent qualification in Maths and English and experience working with children in a school setting are desirable but not essential.
