**Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk**

**Hours 40 hours per week**

**Shift Monday - Friday 08.30 - 17.00**

**Job Purpose**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the global Lactalis Group. You will ensure supplier invoices are accurate and correspond with the purchase orders and delivery notes prior to payment in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for our Import & Export Documentation, ensuring customs declarations are made in accordance with HMRC guidelines.

**Your duties will include**:

- Entry of Purchase Ledger Invoices and Credit notes into our finance accounting system, purchasing system and Inventory control system.
- Timely validation, investigation and process of all supplier invoices and credit notes.
- Ensure weekly payment runs and international payments are carried out in a timely manner.
- Daily review of purchase ledger
- Requisition / purchase orders not raised, Missing Invoices, Missing delivery notes and allocation errors.
- Checking Supplier Statement each month and follow up for any missing invoices.
- Resolving any discrepancies and claims as they are received.
- Monthly review and maintain aged creditors.
- Setting up / amending supplier’s details as per set procedure and keeping records of it.
- Post all manual payments and receipts onto supplier/customer accounts.
- Daily maintaining and reconciling of bank cashbook by checking payments and receipts to bank statements (bank reconciliation).
- Daily maintaining and reconciling of Petty cash book.
- Maintaining Cash flow spreadsheet.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliation.

**Skills we need**

You will be experienced in an accounting role and familiar with finance regulations. You’ll have good maths skills with the ability to spot numerical errors. Excellent knowledge of MS excel and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
